Technically speaking, Sonic Medicine works. Listeners who learn and use the special techniques introduced in the Relaxed I booklet will experience rewarding results. Many individuals feel a calming effect while listening to certain forms of music. Others are able to exhibit notable changes in their emotional responses during and after a musical experience. In many ways, music can be thought of as a facilitator of change. Through subconscious channels music has the ability to create changes in the way we respond to stimuli. The Research Institute of Sonic Medicine in Switzerland was founded to explore these possibilities. After several years of development and testing, a musical model evolved. In a state of the art digital recording studio near Zurich, members of the Research Institute, together with a team from Relaxed Records, recorded a dosage of Sonic Medicine using professional musicians and engineers. A few months later, the positive effects experienced in the lab were reproducible on home stereos and a decision was made to license the technology to Relaxed Records. Sonic Medicine uses proven PSLTM production and recording techniques developed at the research institute and is composed of three phases: Pacing, Synchronizing and Leading. Pacing is defined by a period of time during a Sonic Medicine session in which Beta brainwave activity is emulated with sound, rhythm and tempo. Listeners are in the Synchronizing phase when their biofeedback demonstrates a response to the musical stimuli. During the Leading phase, the listener is lead into an alpha state of consciousness where they are able to influence their physiological response and achieve the desired effect. After years of R&D we are now able to offer you an effective relaxation aid in an inexpensive compact disc available right here, online. Click here to order. | |||||||||||||||||
